Water Games

Water games at Skylake Yosemite Camp are the big, all-camp events that turn our Bass Lake waterfront into a stadium. On special days throughout each session, the whole camp heads to the docks for competitions and traditions that campers talk about all year.

Special days at the waterfront are always a treat! The lineup includes canoe races, group paddleboard standing contests (how many campers can balance on one board?), greased watermelon water polo, buried treasure hunts, relays, and more. The waterfront plays host to a variety of fantastic games and special events, all run by our waterfront staff with village groups cheering each other on.

These events tie together the skills campers build all session in canoeing, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding — and they're a signature piece of a traditional, screen-free summer at a camp that's been creating them since 1945.
