Skylake Food

Kids Love Skylake Food

We truly believe Sklyake provides some of the best summer camp food in America. We cook from scratch, emphasizing locally grown fresh organic fruits and vegetables at every meal. We cater to all tastes from fresh pasta with no sauce to a grilled Portobello instead of cheeseburger for our vegetarian campers and staff. Fun and creative desserts are served at every dinner. Every parent wonders if their child will get enough to eat at summer camp. Our policy is always “all you can eat” and our variety of foods at every meal means no child leaves our dining room hungry.

Campers eat with the campers from their cabin and with their counselor at their own table.  The counselor is there to make sure the campers are getting to eat what they want and to make sure campers are eating a balanced and proper meal. Meal times are also another great time for staff to meet with campers and talk about the day and how everyone is doing.

Breakfast at Skylake is served every morning from 8:15 until 8:45

Campers can go through both the hot and the cold buffet lines. The cold buffet has three or four types of cold cereal to choose from along with fresh fruit, cottage cheese, bagels and cream cheese. Campers looking for a more substantial breakfast head for the hot buffet line that always has pancakes or French toast, bacon or sausage, eggs of different varieties and fresh baked pastry items.
