Tomahawk & Darts
Tomahawk & darts at Skylake Yosemite Camp is a supervised target-sport activity that campers rarely get to try anywhere else. Up the hill a bit from the ropes course lies Skylake's tomahawk and darts area, with targets created out of large tree rounds.
Campers take part in the age-old activity of tomahawk toss — see if you can stick a bullseye! Campers quickly learn the secret is a slow rotation, and staff coach each thrower on stance, grip, and release from a safe throwing line. Sticking your first tomahawk is one of those small, memorable camp victories.
While waiting their turn for tomahawk, campers enjoy a round of darts with new and old friends, so the activity moves quickly and everyone stays engaged. Like everything at Skylake, it's run with clear safety rules, one thrower at a time, under direct staff supervision.
Campers who like target sports also love archery and the climbing tower. See all land activities.
