LOCATION
Skylake Yosemite Camp is located one hour northeast of Fresno,
off of highway 41, in the Sierra National Forest on beautiful Bass Lake,
just 15 miles from Yosemite National Park. The elevation of the camp is
3600', which provides great relief from the valley heat but assures a
warm and comfortable summer. Bass Lake is 5-1/2 mile long with a perfect
water temperature for swimming.
TRANSPORTATION
Since Skylake is actually located just ten miles from the historic
"absolute geographical center" of the State of California, it can be
reached from both the Bay Area and Los Angeles in approximately 4 hours.
Charter buses are available to transport campers and their gear from
both the Bay Area and the Los Angeles area at the beginning and end of
every camp session. The Fresno Airport is a major California airport
with hourly flights from both San Francisco and Los Angeles. Skylake
vans meet and transport all campers who fly into the Fresno Airport.
