Skylake is celebrating its 63rd season. We are located in the California Sierra National Forest on Bass Lake, just a few miles from the south gates of Yosemite National Park. Skylake offers campers the opportunity to become part of a three-generation tradition of "Skylake Magic." Our goal is to provide a "sense of family and place" … a place where campers build life-long friendships and return year after year.

We are a co-ed "sleep-away" camp for ages 7 and up, accommodating 210 campers each session. Sessions lengths are one week, two-weeks, and four-weeks. The facility features a 6500 square foot lodge with dining room, recreation room and large lakeside deck. Campers are housed in either "Boys Camp" or "Girls Camp" in one of 37 screened log cabins with separate but adjacent shower houses and bathrooms. Each cabin sleeps 7 campers and their camp counselor. We have a support staff of 85, including trained, enthusiastic camp counselors who are college students and graduates.

Our large, private dock on Bass Lake offers a variety of fun-packed waterfront activities, including warm-water swimming, waterskiing and tubing, and canoes and kayaks. The pine forest offers plenty of beautiful open land to accommodate horseback riding, a challenging ropes course, sand volleyball court, tennis courts, softball diamond, arts and crafts building and much more. Day trips and backpack trips into Yosemite National Park are scheduled almost daily. Tremendous emphasis is also placed on camp meals, with an abundance of creatively varied menus and always with fresh ingredients.

Skylake is accredited by the American Camping Association and is a founding member of the Western Association of Independent Camps. We offer great supervision with a "Safety First" operating standard. We have a registered nurse living on site in our Health Center and all staff members are CPR/First Aid Certified and have Water Safety Certifications. We offer charter bus service from Northern and Southern California and provide complimentary pick up at the Fresno Yosemite International Airport, located only one hour from camp. We welcome your questions; don't hesitate to give us a call.
